Dear ABC,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health. First of all, a very happy New Year to you! The New Year celebration is just over and today I am writing to tell you how we spent the day this year.
The covid-19 pandemic is still not over and hence we decided to keep the event a low key affair. We celebrated the day only in the company of our family members. My cousin, Anjali was also present on that day. Since we are all vaccinated, it was not much of an issue.
The decoration of the house was done by me and my sister, Priya. The rooms were filled with balloons, place cards, confetti and garlands. The look of the home was totally transformed and gave the brilliant New Year vibes. My father prepared his trademark barbeque chicken grilling on the terrace. Grandmother and mother prepared briyani and sahi paneer in the kitchen. Anjali also helped them in the cooking.
In the evening, we had a blast playing a variety of games including carom and cards. There was singing and dancing followed by the epic ghost stories marathon sitting around bonfire in the night. Later, we had our delicious dinner, brought in the New Year cheering and went for sleep.
It was a really
