Dear Mother,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health. I can't believe it has already been a week since I have come to Shreya aunts house. Today, I writing this letter to tell you about that new year party that we had yesterday.
The day started with me and Ananya preparing breakfast for everybody. Uncle went out to the market and brought chicken and vegetables for the dinner. We helped Shreya aunt with all the decorations of the rooms.
The rooms were decorated with new year balloons and banners. The paper hanging fan decoration set enhanced the beauty of the rooms. Ananya prepared handmade paper lanterns especially for this new year. Cycle made the necessary arrangements for the lightning the of the paper lanterns.
There was arrangement for indoor games starting from evening.Tambola were an Instant hit with everyone. Ananyas father even sponsored gifts for the winners. I am happy as I won three prizes yesterday. Later on, we also enjoyed a lot grooving to party music and playing antakshri.
Chicken biryani was the highlight of the day. Aunty also prepared her special, fruit cake for the occasion. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Since Ananya doesn't enjoy so much, palak paneer special image for her.
The party went on till the wee hours of the night. We busted firecrackers at the stroke of midnight and gave the New Year a warm welcome. Though I was really happy, it felt a bit strange celebrating new year away from home. I really missed you a lot.
