Dear ABC,
I hope you are doing well. It has been a while since I last wrote to you and hence I decided to write a few lines today. Last week, I went to the amazing fireflies camping in Bhandardara and today’s letter is all about it.
The trip was organized by our school during summer vacation. The two day camp started on the 2nd of June, 2022 with a total of 40 students and 2 teachers. We reached at our campsite, which was by the Bhandardara lake, at around 4:30 pm on the first day. We quickly freshened up and had our evening tea with barbeque, enjoying the sunset.
Later in the evening, we went on a jungle trip to witness the fireflies in action in the wild. Just before monsoon, it is the mating season for the fireflies. It was an extraordinary event to witness thousands of fireflies putting up a magical show for us. It was a lovely getaway from the monotonous busy life of the city.
Next morning, we woke up to a wonderful morning in Bhandardara with a soothing breeze. After completing our morning tea and breakfast, we set out for a small boating ride in the nearby lake. We had a real blast riding a boat in the beautiful lake. There was also proper arrangement for the safety of everyone. Atlast by 9:30am in the morning, we bid goodbye to Bhandardara and headed back home with a heart full of memories.
