Dear ABC,

It has lovely to get your letter yesterday. Accept my congratulations for winning the table tennis championship held in your school. Coincidentally, our school, Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya, also played the finals of the inter School hockey championship yesterday and I am writing this letter telling you about it.

The Match was played in RK patil playground involving our school and Saint Paul school. It was a replay of the last year championship which we had lost. Saint Paul team was on the attack from the word go and they had the backing of the crowd too. After repelling a series of attack for two quarters, finally our defense was breached just before the half time with the score line 1-0 in their favor.

Our coach really gave us a motivational speech before the third quarter and changed our strategy from defense to offense. We went in charging in the 3rd quarter and despite a number of attempts at the goalpost, could not convert the half chances.

It was the last quarter and our captain, Rohan was able to score a penalty stroke and successfully tied the score. With the momentum on our side, the crowd too was cheering and egging us on. With the last three minutes left on the clock, I was successful in dribbling past a couple of defenders and scored a goal for my team. We won the thrilling encounter with the score line reading 1-2. 

There were euphoric scenes in the ground and in our camp. We shook hands with out opponents and appreciated each other. It was an exceptional feeling winning the final and I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
