Dear ABC,

It has been six months since I left my village home on date1. Life in a big city like Mumbai is fast moving and tough. The last six month has been a real eye opener for a simple village person like me.

Here, there are a lot more opportunities for work and to earn money. The shops are bigger and market remains crowded throughout the day. The roads are far better and vehicles keep running on them throughout the day. People are richer, well dressed and enjoy better standard of life. It is very easy to get lost in the glamour and grandeur of the place.

There is a lot more for entertainment than our village. There are malls and amusement parks to go out and enjoy. People spend time by visiting cinema halls, circus, pubs and restaurant. There are big schools and colleges for the students.

The health care facilities are great with big hospitals for the public. You just have to place your order for food and people will deliver your home delivery your order. Life is much more comfortable if you have money to spend.

The facilities and conveniences are not without their share of perks and issues.  You won't find here the pristine air of the village as the air is polluted with a number of cases of lung related diseases. The fitness of the people is not that good due to sedentary lifestyle which leads to a number of non communicable diseases like diabetes etc.

More importantly, you will find most people running after something without any time to enjoy the smaller things in life. There is definite lack of peace of mind and hence, my mind keeps wandering back to my native village.

I hope to meet you soon. Take care.
