Dear ABC,

                        

                         I hope my letter finds you hale and hearty. It has been quite a while since I have written to you. The republic day celebration in our school is just over and hence I am writing to you to share my experience about it.

                      As Republic day is one of the most important days in India, it is celebrated in almost every school throughout the country. And my school is no exception. Since my joining in my school, I have always found Republic day to be celebrated with great plump and joy.

                        As you are aware, being a teacher comes with a lot of responsibilities. On this Republic day, the students of the school, especially the seniors, were divided into groups and were assigned various duties. Each group was supervised by a different teacher. The students were given the task of making various crafts which were used to decorate the playground where the function was to be held. Few students were also selected from different classes to participate in cultural program.

                         The function began with lighting of the auspicious diya, hoisting of the National flag and a short speech by our honorable principal. It was followed by a patriotic song and a traditional dance performance. The highlight of the cultural program was a small drama performed brilliantly by our students on the life of our freedom fighters. The program concluded with the singing of our National Anthem by the teaching and the non teaching staff.

                                    Everybody tried to give their best and I was happy that the Republic day celebrations turned out to be quite successful. I wish to see you soon. Convey my regards to your parents.
