Dear ABC,
Your
letter is just to hand and I had a wonderful time going through all the fun
stuff you did on your favorite festival, holi. As you have asked me to pen down
about my favorite festival, so here it is! I hope you enjoy it a lot.
My favorite
festival is the festival of lights, Diwali. It is celebrated to honor Lord Ram
who is believed to have returned on this day to his people after a 14 year old
exile after defeating the demon king, Ravana. The festival is celebrated with
much fanfare and enthusiasm as it marks the victory of good over evil.
The most important thing that I like
about the festival is that it brings people together. It provides an
opportunity for all the family members to get together and have a hearty chat.
Apart from that, of course the decorations! House hold is cleaned and decorated
with the small festive electric lights and diyas which made an exemplary view
at night. New clothes are bought for friends and family and sweets are
distributed.
Another attraction of the festival is
the fireworks. The sight of the night sky glowing with the wide range of
firecrackers is absolutely stunning. The joy and happiness that it brings on
the faces of especially children is priceless.
I had a
wonderful time narrating about my favorite festival. I have nothing more to add
