Dear Sir/ Madam,

                        I am a resident of ABC colony and I am writing this letter to bring to your notice about the requirement of a government clinic in our locality. The present healthcare infrastructure is inadequate to cater to the need of the 40,000 population in our area. A large population along with poor economic condition only adds to the problem.

                                   The only government clinic, PQR, accessible to the residents of our locality is at a distance of approximately 10 km away.  It is much easier to access a private practitioner but is comparatively too expensive to afford. Moreover, a lot of time and energy is wasted of the common people in separate long queues for appointment, meeting with doctor and buying medicines in PQR clinic. Not all have the luxury to afford that much time as that would result in loss of daily earning.

                                   Even, the doctor and health staff is finding it difficult to provide quality service to the needy. The in-charge doctor can’t give ample time to each patient due to the high case loads. Even though the medicines are free, sometimes they are out of stock. Hence, people avoid visiting the clinic as much as possible for minor health problems like cough, fever, rash etc and visit local quacks that are making the most of the situation.

                                     Hence, I request you to look into the matter on an urgent basis. For starters, even a small set up of at least 20-30 beds under the leadership of a competent doctor with basic water supply and uninterrupted electricity can be of great help.
