I, Govind, am an inhabitant of Krishan Vihar and a regular reader of your esteemed newspaper. I am writing this letter to draw the attention of the public towards prevention of diarrhoeal disease.
Diarrhoeal disease is caused due the contamination of food and water by various environmental agents. These cases get significantly increased during the rainy season. If not given enough importance for the prevention of these diseases, they can cause a serious burden on the health service of the state.
The following steps must be diligently followed in order to prevent the diarrhoeal diseases like Cholera:
1. Adequate attention must be given to the environmental sanitation
2. Everyone should try to drink safe drinking water
3. Necessary precaution must be taken for food hygiene
4. One must also give proper time for personal hygiene like washing hands with soap.
Moreover, early reporting and prompt treatment can go a long way in the curing diarrhoeal diseases.
