Dear Editor,
My name is Arvind and I am a regular reader of your esteemed newspaper. I am writing this letter to highlight the issue of shortage of drinking water in our city.
Every year during the summers, the local residents face a lot of problem due to water scarcity. A big reason responsible for the consequences the people are facing is the misuse of water. Water tanks installed on many roofs of the colonies are found to be leaking and without any repair. Public taps and water pipes are often broken and water flowing endlessly from them.
So, it is high time that immediate steps must be taken to counter the problem of water shortage. We must all collectively pay more attention to the finer details of water conservation and minimize the misuse of water as it is a cardinal sin.
