Sir/Madam,

I am Gautam, a resident of Govind Enclave, Meerut.Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to the attention of the public about the neglect of two main parks in our locality.

The two main parks, inaugrated two years ago, served our locality well as local residents would regularly visit them for jogging or some form of physical activity. But since last three months, there has been complete neglect of the parks by the local authorities. As a result, people have stopped going to the park.

Being a responsible citizen, I am concerned about the current state of affairs. I would request the local municipal authorities to regularly inspect the parks for maintenance. The lighting system has to be repaired and the broken benches have to be repaired. The security of the parks has to be stepped up so that no unwanted elements create unpleasant environment.

I hope the condition of the parks improve so that the children of our locality have a place to play.
