I was shocked to receive the electricity bill for the month of April. It was three times the average amount I was receiving for the last six months. This is absolutely unacceptable as I am sure I have not consumed electricity in excess than what is normal. Xerox copies of the bill for the last six months have been attached for your convenience.
Though I have made the payment for the month of April, I suspect the electricity meter may be defective and needs replacement. Therefore, I request you to look into the matter personally and make arrangement for inspection of the electricity meter as I do not want to be penalized again for no fault of mine.
