Dear father,

I hope you are keeping a good health. How is mother? Is she taking her medicines in time? I am doing fine. It has been quite a while that I last wrote to you. Hence, I thought to write to you today.

As you are aware, we are dealing with an extra ordinary situation in our lifetime with so many uncertainties. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the life of every individual all over the world. There is hardly any aspect of life that has remained unscratched from the corona virus. As a student, our studies and preparation have also been affected in a major way by this pandemic.

For starters, our colleges have been closed since months now to reduce the spread of the virus. It is really strange to have such a situation where colleges are closed for such a long duration. It’s almost like a chapter from the script of a Hollywood movie. Though a month back the online classes have started, but I personally find it not so convenient to grasp the lessons and notes online. There are so many inconveniences like bad network, slow internet connection, communication gap etc which provide a real challenge to the digital learning platform.

Emotionally and mentally, the life of the students has been really turned upside down.  It’s almost like the biggest ever psychological experiment is being conducted on an unprecedented global scale. Irrespective of the challenges, I understand that this is not the time to complain. Rather, it the time to stand up and be counted, to look for even the slightest of glimmer of hopes and be inspired. I would really like to make a special mention of the relentless and untiring efforts of our teachers. It’s a super human effort for our better future.

I miss you and mother a lot here. I wish I could be back there with you and do my bit to look after the family. But I understand what you expect from me at this crucial moment and I won’t let you down. Take care.

                                                                                               Your Loving Son,
