After much speculation over whether IPL would be played this year or not, the IPL fever is here at last due to the relentless work of the BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly. After such a long wait, it can be a delightful experience to share the experience with a friend. This is a simple letter to a friend describing your favorite 2020 IPL team: Mumbai Indians.

Dear ABC,
Thanks a ton for your previous later. It was refreshing to hear from you about your take on the current edition of IPL. After much speculation amid the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, I am glad that the IPL is at last happening. Although, there are some disappointments like this edition not happening in India, there being no crowds etc, but I am happy that at least we are having some cricket after such a long time. As per your request in the previous letter, allow me to throw some light on why Mumbai Indians is my favorite 2020 IPL team.
If you look at their squad, Mumbai Indians have a very balanced team with all the three departments covered. They have a perfect combination of youth and experience. They have all the ingredients of a team worthy of being champion.
They have depth and variety in the bowling department. In Bumrah and Bolt, they have a world class lethal attacking combination to run through any opposition. James Pattinson, Coulter-Nile and Chahar are match winners in their own right. The only glitch can be the absence of a superstar in the spin bowling department.
The batting order of the Mumbai Indians is powerful to put it mildly. The top order looks settled with Hitman, Rohit Sharma and wicket keeper batsman, de Kock. They have good Indian talent in the middle order in the likes of Surya Kumar Yadav and Saurav Tiwary. The acquisition of the Australian big hitter, Chris Lyn is worth mentioning.
Pollard and the Pandya brothers are the allrounders in the team with ability to turn the course of a match with both bat and ball. The fact that Hardik and Pollard are proven big hitters of the cricket ball only adds to the strength of the team.
I have been a big fan of Mumbai Indians since the first edition. I really think this 2020 IPL team is better than the last 2019 IPL winning one! Hence, I am more than hopeful that they would be successful in defending their trophy. I would love to hear from here too. Take care!
Yours lovingly,
