Dear Brother,

I hope you are keeping a good health along with your family. It gives me immense pleasure to see you climbing up in the ladder of life. While going through your last letter, I was pleased to see your keen interest in insuring your life. According to your request, I am happy to share with you whatever little knowledge I have on the LIC Jeevan Akshay VII plan.

It is a single premium, non-linked and non participating immediate annuity plan. It provides you with an opportunity with a guaranteed monthly pension scheme which is very important for a secured, tension free retired life. There are 10 options (A to J) to choose from in this policy. Keeping it simple, I would advise you to choose option A which provides you with immediate annuity for life at uniform rate on payment of a lump sum amount.

Benefit of the policy is that the annuity payment is made in arrear for as long as annuitant is the alive. However, the policy will cease to exist on the death of the annuitant and nothing will be payable. The minimum purchase price of the policy is one lakh rupees with no maximum limit. People belonging to the age group of 30 to 85 years can apply for this policy. Four modes of payments are available: monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annually.

Let me explain with the following example
Purchase price                         : 10 lakh
Age of annuitant                     : 45 years
Annuity                                   : Mode yearly

On choosing option A, the annuitant shall receive annuity amount of 63950, approximately 5330 rupees per month for as long as the annuitant is alive.

I hope I was able to explain a part of the policy clearly. It is a good pension scheme provided by a trusted institution and you should avail the facility. Give my blessings to your family.

                                                                                                            Yours Affectionately,
