Dear ABC,
I hope this letter finds you hale and hearty. Everything is fine here but I have received a complaint against you from your father. Uncle informed me that you are indifferent towards reading newspaper.  If that is true, then I should warn you that is a big mistake. I write this letter so as to persuade you to pay more attention towards reading newspaper regularly.

The world today is dynamic, constantly changing within a short period of time. It is imperative to adapt and improvise to the constant changes in various spheres of life to be able to survive and flourish. A newspaper is a tremendous print medium to arm yourself with necessary information as it is a storehouse of knowledge with writers and journalists having varied expertise contributing and sharing their viewpoints.

The more you read, the more you expose yourself to different ideas, thus helping in your personality development. When you are in a group, if you are well-read, you can contribute meaningful information and ideas with everyone, thus earning their respect. Reading newspapers help you develop your own opinion and rational thinking. But, it is advisable to read more than one newspaper, as it increases the reading option and also it helps to develop a balanced view on a particular topic as there maybe biasness involved in reporting.

As the saying goes “All work and no play make Jack a dull boy”, it also stands true for if we only focus on routine knowledge. There should also be room for entertainment for all round development. Newspapers are not behind in this aspect  either with a variety of options of entertainment to choose from.  Puzzles, quiz, jokes, games… You name it, you got it. In fact, a good newspaper can be your true friend!

I sincerely hope you will be more interested in reading when you see a newspaper next time. I have nothing more to add today. Give my regards to your parents. Hope to see you soon.

                                                                                   Yours truly
