Subject: Request for internet connection in college library

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would humbly like to bring to your notice that though our college library has a huge collection of books and journals; there is no internet connection for the students in our library. The computers and the necessary infrastructure are in place but without a proper working internet connection.

In today’s digital age, it is a huge hindrance and setback for our students if they do not have access to online library and other digital educational documents. The internet can add a whole new dimension to the library system by making access and processing of data easier and faster. One can get access to any information on any topic from any part of the world through books, journals, films, documentary and various other media online. Moreover, students won’t need to wait for months for some books to arrive in hardcopy.

Hence, I formally request you to make arrangement for internet facility in our library for the students. We would be highly grateful for the consideration.

                                                                                         Yours faithfully
