Dear ABC,
This year has been so incomplete without a letter from your side. But guess what? I thought to break the streak by writing to you about my recent visit to a hill station.
A couple of months ago, I had made the plan to visit to Shimla after completing the school examination. My aunt had been inviting us over to Shimla for years but we could not visit her due to one reason or another. Atlast, in March end, we were able to visit the hill station.
The fresh air and the beautiful mountains were a pleasant change from my hometown in Delhi. My aunt’s house is situated very close to the mall road which provided us good opportunity to go out and explore the surrounds shops and mall.
I really enjoyed paying a visit to the famous Hanuman temple in Jakhu hill. Since we reached the site using ropeway, we had a great top view of the picturesque surrounding. One must be wary of the monkey troops as they are quite stealthy and steal valuable items.
I will specially remember the long strolls along the mall road in the evening. The pleasing weather and the friendly people make your stay really enjoyable. It is one of the best holidays that I have had.
