This has resulted in a drop in their academic performance. Physical development is also not up to the required level. A serious matter of concern has come up in today's modern world and that is children nowadays are too busy watching television. Television steals their opportunity to be involved in any constructive work. In fact, because of the introduction of numerous TV channels, children are very much engrossed in watching them which in turn affect their social and communication skills.
Television also hampers the creative and imaginative minds of the young ones. In addition to all these, the academic performance of a child suffers a lot. Physical activity which is supposed to be the soul requirement of the young body is also not up to the mark. The time spent with TV leaves them with no time for their physical activity.
It is high time that steps should be taken both by the parents and the school authorities to counter the problem.
