Dear ABC,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirits. My visit to my native village on the occasion of a family function went well. Today, I am writing to you about the teacher’s day celebration in the village school.
My uncle is a teacher in the school and he asked me to accompany him to the event. I was so impressed by the simple yet charming teacher’s day celebration. The function was inaugurated by the Principal with a welcome speech.
The students paid their respect to the teachers by garlanding them. The teachers were also applied sandalwood paste on their forehead. It was so heartwarming to see the little children presenting simple sweets to the teachers which they had bought with their petty collection. A traditional program was held during the function.
I really enjoyed the whole event. Being a city student, all of these were very different for me than how we celebrate Teacher’s Day.
