Dear ABC,

I hope my letter finds you in the best of spirits. The Independence Day celebration in our school is just over and hence I am writing to you to share my experience on how it was celebrated in our school.15th august is an important day in the history of the country as it marks the day of independence from foreign rule. Our school celebrated the occasion with great passion and enthusiasm.

The Director of education, Mr Himaghshu Gupta, was invited as the chief guest. The inauguration ceremony was marked by the lighting of candles and felicitation of the Chief Guest. The hoisting of the National Flag was a special moment which filled our heart with pride. The Principal of the school also gave a short speech on the occasion.

The cultural programs presented by the students were liked by one and all. Our class presented a skit on the theme of “Nation First, Always First” which was the highlight of the function. The program concluded with an inspiring message from the Chief Guest.

I thoroughly enjoyed the celebration of this year’s Independence Day in our school. I hope to hear from you about how you celebrated the special day.

                                                            Yours Truly,

                                                             Anup
