Subject: Disturbances due to wedding ceremony

Sir/Madam,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to the attention of the concerned authority about the disturbances created by insensitive wedding celebrations. I would like to start with the marriage celebration in our locality last night.

The Bridegroom party which was supposed to come by 6 pm arrived much later and the celebrations continued well past midnight till the wee hours of the morning. There was a lot of loud music, commotion and hue and cry.

There are elderly in the locality who had to suffer a lot due to the loud music. My own son is supposed to appear in a class exam today but he really found it tough to concentrate in his studies yesterday. Some of the infants, in fact, were terrified by the sound of the loud music and bursting crackers.

I understand that a marriage ceremony holds a very important place for the concerned families but the celebration of a family cannot outweigh the peace of general public. I urge all to have some empathy and celebrate such functions in a reasonable manner without causing discomfort for the general public.

I shall be highly grateful if my letter finds an appropriate place in yours newspaper.

                                                                                                Yours Faithfully,
