Dear ABC,

It has been almost a year since you moved to your new school. Really, time and tide waits for none. How are you? Have you made new friends? I really miss the days when we would sneak in the library and spend hours dwelling in the heap of books. You were the only one who would share my passion for reading and exploring new books. Today, I write this letter to share with you about my favorite book: Wings of Fire.

“Wings of Fire” is the autobiography of the renowned scientist and former President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam Azad. It is written by Dr. Kalam and his junior colleague Arun Tiwari. The book traces the life of Azad from his birth till he became the President of India. The 16 chapter book is a fascinating ride of struggle, dedication and success.

Reading the book gave me an idea about the massive contribution of the humble scientist to the Indian scientific community. There are so many inspirational lines in the book that makes you stand up and take notice. I would love to share a few with you:

1.      “We are all born with divine fire in us. Our efforts should be to give wings to this fire and fill the world with glow of its goodness.”

2.      “Once your mind stretches to a new level, it never goes back to its original dimension.”

3.      “If you want to leave your footprints in the sands of time, do not drag your feet.”

4.      “What you imagine, is what you transpire. What you believe is what you achieve.”

The list just goes on and on. The impact of these lines on my mind is massive and etched in my memory for life. The life of Dr. Kalam is an inspiration for youngsters like us to dream. It inspires us to work hard with a distinct vision to turn the dream into reality.

I would really strongly endorse this book to you for a great read. Why don’t you write me back about things that have been keeping you busy lately? I would be waiting for a reply from you. Take care!

                                                                                               Yours Truly,
