Due to the incessant rain for the last two days, the power supply to our locality has been disrupted. The power lines have been snapped by the uprooted trees and the electricity poles damaged. Though the power supply has been restored in many parts of the city within a few hours, we are yet to get the power supply restored despite it being more than 48 hours now.
This has been a regular feature in our locality for some years now. Every time, there is a strong rain, it’s almost inevitable that the power goes off. The continuous power cut is creating a lot of difficulties for the elderly patients. The study of the children has also been affected by it. Day to day activities like charging electronic devices, pumping water etc have become a source of headache for the families.
Hence, I strongly request you to kindly upgrade the electricity infrastructure so as to ensure uninterrupted power supply in our locality.
