Dear Sir/Madam,

Our colony has witnessed a sudden surge in the rodent population since last month. It is a common sight to see rats running inside our homes in search of food and shelter. Since the rats are responsible for the transmission of several diseases like Hanta virus syndrome, Salmonellosis, rat bite fever etc, they have become a real health concern for the people of our colony.

The insanitary condition of the locality is the primary reason for attracting the rodents to our colony. Lack of proper cleaning of sewages and the untimely collection of household garbage by local municipality authorities has multiplied the problem many fold.

Therefore, I would request you to kindly look into the matter for timely intervention.
