Dear ABC,

It’s just a week now that you have gone for your summer vacation at Shimla. Yet, it feels like an eternity. Your father and I miss you lot. Though we are sad that you are not here, yet it is good that you are away from this summer heat over here.

I hope you have made friends over there. You know, this trip of yours has made me remember the wonderful times I used to have when I used to be at camp as a child. It used to be an entertaining yet learning experience. I wish the same for you.

You must have felt somewhat homesick in the beginning. It’s natural as was the case with me too. But, after a few days, you do tend to settle down and get accustomed to the new setting of the camp life.

I have come to know that Mr. Sarmah’s daughter and Mrs. Yadav’s son are also over there in your camp. If you have not bumped into them yet, do keep a look out for them. Tell them to write to their parents as they were enquiring about them.

We are eagerly waiting to hear about all the adventures that you have had and will be having with your friends. I know you will have a lot to say! Don’t forget to bring a souvenir  for your little brother.

                                Have a nice time.
                                                                                                 Yours   lovingly
